The Savoy Group
A group of the most prestigious hotels in the United Kingdom including The Savoy and Claridges. The Savoy Group required an email marketing system to communicate effectively and unintrusively with their guests.
The system had to be:
- Reliable
- Powerful
- Full featured
- Web based
They chose Razorstone's eNews.
eNews had a dramatic and demonstrable increase in profits for The Savoy Group. In one email send, the occupancy rate for the weekend at The Lygon Arms hotel went from less than 10% (due to a cancelled major sporting event) to 100% in under two days! eNews paid for itself many times over in that single email send.
Razorstone eNews is now an intregal part of their marketing mix and is relied apon to deliver consistent measureable results.

Graphite PlanetX Promotion
Graphite deodorant and PlanetX wanted to run a joint competition promotion that would cover the web, SMS and phones. They offered random instant-win prizes for lucky entrants who, correctly entering the promotion code on the side of the deodorant can. They wanted a single point to connect all these entry methods.
We built a single web administrable application that linked web, SMS and phone. The SMS contestant would send a text message and get a text message back if they won. The 1900 contestant would phone and key in the can number, the system would then inform them if they had won. The web entry would also instantly display a win or loose message.
The contest administrator had an administration area where they could manage and view statistics of the promotion.
The promotion was a huge success with over 18,000 entrants.
The Cancer Council
The Cancer Council needed to update and modify their site: thequitcoach.org.au. The Quit Coach site gives tailored advise to smokers and people trying to quit. They wanted to add the functionality to allow GP doctors to refer patients to the website. They also wanted to monitor the patients progress over time. Razorstone designed and developed a patient specific, custom, email system to automatically send patient progress updates from the Quit Coach web site. Doctors are now able to refer patients and have progress reports delivery straight to their email.
Database Migration
Due to the increasing popularity of the Quit Coach it was also necessary to convert the sites database from MS Access to the more robust MS SQL Server. This conversion was planned and implimented seamlessly.
Razorstone continues to support this valuable online resource.
